Zell Junior Hazelbaker

Zell Junior Hazelbaker, born October 7, 1925, passed away peacefully on July 2, 2019, at Westminster Village, Muncie, Indiana at the age of 93. He is survived by his daughter Carol Ann Gallo, Jonesboro, son Duane (Janna) Hazelbaker, Indianapolis, grandchildren; Matt (Amy) Gallo, Indianapolis, Darci (Dale Rush) Hazelbaker, Tucson, AZ, Danen (Lana Sloutsky) Hazelbaker, Boston, MA, great-granddaughter Nika Hazelbaker, Boston MA, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Zellie and Amy (Payne) Hazelbaker, wife, Wanda (Moorman), and son-in-law Paul Gallo. Zell started farming with his father at the age of 14, and continued actively farming in Grant County into his late 80s. He was a talented athlete in high school and continued to be an avid supporter of sports for Jefferson Township and Eastbrook Schools. He drove a school bus route for several years. He was also one of the original Eastbrook Community Schools Corporation building funders. Zell was a veteran of the Army, during WWII. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Zell will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Thursday July 11 at 2:00 PM at the Fairmount Chapel Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S.
