Fairmount: William J. "Bill" Foster, 74, died Friday evening, July 29, 2016, in IU Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. He was born in Muncie, the son of the late Charles and Martha (Smith) Foster. In 1960, he graduated from Jefferson Township High School, Upland. Mr. Foster served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict from 1963 to 1966 and then served with the Indiana Army National Guard, until he retired in 2006. Bill retired from production work with Dana Corporation, Marion, in 2008. He was a member of the P.A.C.E. Local #6113 and his hobbies included horses, motorcycles, drag racing, and tinkering around his farm. Survivors include children, Jennifer (Lake) Foster, Clinton, TN, Bill (Dori) Foster, rural Fairmount, and Jim (Treva) Foster, Colorado; a sister, Sharon Foster, rural Fairmount; five grandchildren, Justin (Brooke), Kati, Harley, Elizabeth, and Jadon; and two great grandchildren, Uriah and Riley.
