Vera L. Thomas

Vera L. Thomas, age 91, of Fairmount, Indiana passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2021, at Twin City Nursing Home, Gas City, IN. She was born in 1929 to the late Ralph and Eva Deeter. After graduating high school, Vera married Gerald R. Thomas of Jonesboro, IN and had three children. She worked as an LPN at Marion General Hospital. Many people enjoyed her sense of humor and helpful nature. Vera is survived by her children: Linda (Leon) Neal, Ronald (Grace) Thomas, and Laura (John) Chambers, six grandchildren a great-grandchild, her sister Doris Hodupp, and many nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Martin and Joseph Deeter, two grandchildren and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Viewing is at 1:00pm on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, Fairmount, IN with graveside services at 2:00pm at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, IN, with Pastor David Phillips officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Marion General Hospital, P.O. Box 1209, Marion, IN 46952, with memo to the Nursery Department.
