Vennie G. Davidson

VennieG. Davidson, 90, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019, inEdwardsville, Illinois. Born on August 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Millard and Pearl Kerr. She attended Celina High School in Celina, Tennessee.Venniewas a homemaker and seamstress, and was a member of the South Marion Church of Christ until its closure, when she then became a member of the Normal Church of Christ, outside ofSwayzee. She enjoyed canning, visiting friends and relatives, caring for others, providing food to the sick, and she especially loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Left to cherishVenniesmemory are her husband, Edward Gene Cunningham, Gas City; three sons, Doug (Brenda) Davidson, Social Circle, Ga, Dan (Cindy) Davidson,Hartselle, AL, and Jeff (Tami) Davidson,Russiaville; daughter, Jill (Ed) Cunningham,Edwardsville, IL; brother, Albert Kerr,Thompkinsville, KY; sister, Nina Kerr Hopper,Burksville, KY; grandchildren, Stacy, Julie, Joanie, Tiffany, Brad, Stephanie, Brent, Emily, Drew, Rhiannon, Alan, Aaron, Nick, Heather, and Alisha; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Harold Davidson, daughter, JaniceMalott, and twelve siblings; Fred, Wheeler, Frank, Lillie, Jack,Dellie, Gladys,Dessie,Printes,Osby, Thelma, and Inell. Arrangements forVenniehave been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Grant Memorial Park in Marion.
