Tracy Ann Yeater

Tracy Ann (Payne) Yeater passed away on July 1, 2021 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Marion on January 5, 1963, the daughter of the late Bill Payne and Janice (Klum) Payne. Tracy graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1981. She married her Liberty Elementary School classmate, Jeff "Butch" Yeater on February 20, 1988. During their 33 years of marriage they shared a 14 year military life, living in Key West, New Jersey, Missouri, and Ohio. Tracy loved to spend time with her family playing cards and board games, in which she was usually the winner. She enjoyed cooking and making special dips, and watching Pacer basketball and Bears football games. Tracy also enjoyed golf cart rides around town. She is survived by her husband, Butch Yeater of Gas City; two sons, Morgan and Evan Yeater of Indianapolis; mother, Janice Payne, Fairmount, brother, Ron Payne, Terre Haute, father-in-law, John Yeater, Fairmount, sister-in-law, Robin (Jim Havens) Wilson, Fairmount, brothers-in-law, Curt (Debbie)Yeater, Fairmount and Rodney (Teresa) Yeater, Marion; aunts Marjean Jones, Marion and Jane Payne, Los Angeles. She had eight cousins who were so special to her, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Payne, mother-in-law, Ercie Yeater, aunts Karen Klum and Janiece Duling, and uncles Gene Klum, Fred Duling, and Jim Jones. Private services at Tracy's request have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana.
