Theodore E. Abdon

Theodore (Ted) Abdon, 61, passed away October 18, 2021, in his home in Sweetser Indiana. He was raised in Marion and graduated from Marion High School in 1978 and received an Associates Degree in Business from Ball State University. Ted's passion was motorsports, especially motocross. In his younger days, he raced motocross and flat track at various venues in Indiana. He worked at several motorcycle stores including Atkins Cycle, Stoughton Cycle Ranch, and Max Pitts. His last employment was as director of racing for Mechanix Wear. He could be found at any number of tracks making sure the teams had the equipment that they needed. In recent years he found enjoyment riding his bike with his friends and stepson at the home of his friend George Atkins. Ted is survived by his sister, Tammy (Butch) Miller, Marion. stepchildren Natalie (Jake) Hollander, Cicero, Graham (Samatha) Spencer, Michigan, Aunt, Joyce Abdon, Sweetser, Nieces, Laurie Miller, Brandie (Cassie) Miller, Amber Miller, Whitney (Jon) Cook, and Gracie (Dawson) Fletcher. Special friends, George and Vicki Atkins and his precious dog, Kensey. He was predeceased by his parents, Roy E. and Jean Abdon, Jr., Marion IN, grandparents, Roy E. and Catherine Abdon, Sr and Raymond and Zola Pohlar. Arrangements have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. On Saturday, October 23, 2021, there will be a graveside service held at 11:00 A.M., at Gardens of Memory, in Marion, with Pastor Tom Mansbarger officiating. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 31, 2021, from 10 am - 4 pm at Atkins Farm 1418 S 600 E Marion. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sweetser Dog Park.
