Susan K. Briggs

Susan K. Briggs, 73, Passed away on November 29, 2017 at Wesleyan Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born to James E. Huston and the late Virginia (Mitchell) Huston. Susan married her husband Roland Briggs on December 31, 1991. Susan Graduated from Jefferson High School and had her EMT Certificate. She was always kind to others, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great children every time she had an opportunity. Coaching softball and baseball was also a hobby of hers. She was a semi driver, ambulance attendant, and drove a school bus for 21 years at Marion and Eastbrook. Susan is survived by her husband Roland, Upland; father James Huston, Upland; daughter Hope (Mickey) Hale, Madison TN; son Ron (Melinda) Miller, Wabash, IN; brother Jack (Kay) Huston, San Jose, CA; sister Pat (Bob) Coy, Salem, OH; grandchildren Audri Alwine, Adrian Alwine, and Savannah Stouffer; Great grandchildren Ryan Alwine, Faith Alwine, Arianna Alwine, and Holden Stouffer. She is preceded in death by her mother. Arrangements for Susan have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana 46989. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 4:00-6:00 PM the funeral service will follow at 6:00PM.
