Stephen D. Julian

Stephen D. Julian, 74, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at Holland Hospital in Holland, Michigan. Steve was born to the late John D. Julian and the lateGlenna(Bartram) Julian on November 5, 1942, in Marion, Indiana. Steve graduated from Van Buren High School in 1960 and then attended the General Motors Institute and earned his Bachelors Degree in 1964. He then worked for the Marion General Motors plant as a mechanical engineer and retired from there after over 40 years of employment. Steve married Carole Clark in 1963 and she survives. Steve and Carole attended the College Corner Brethren Church. Steve loved to fish and golf. He was also an avid collector of many things. He had an eye for value and knew how to make a quality purchase... and he made a lot of them. Steve is survived by his 3 sons, Stephen Julian, Terre Haute, IN, Dennis Julian, Cocoa, FL, and Patrick (Natalie) Julian, Wabash, IN; 4 grandchildren, Sara Julian, Terre Haute, IN, Stephen Julian, III, serving in the Army, Patrick (Kati) Julian, Jr., serving in the Army, and Caitlynn Julian, serving in the Air Force; sister, Sharon (Jerry) Lane, Marion, IN; brother, Robert (Linda) Julian, Hemet, CA; several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly, and his 2 beloved dogs, Rascal and Pup, who went with him everywhere he went. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, John andGlennaJulian, and his brother, Martin Julian. A visitation for Steve has been set for Monday, December 26, 2016, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral service honoring Steve will be on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. with Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana. Arrangements have been handled by the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, Indiana, 46953, where the services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Riley Childrens Hospital or Gracies Heart of Gold.
