Sherly Y. Lee

Sherly Y. Lee, age 80, passed away though heavens gates on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Twin City Nursing Facility in Gas City, Indiana. Sherly was born in Missouri. She married the love of her life James Lee on May 14, 1983.

She was a faithful Christian. She was formerly a member of Upland Christian Center, later moving to Fairmount Baptist. Sherly and James loved going to church. Sherly read her Bible faithfully before her health started to fail her.

Sherly is survived by her best friend and husband, James Lee; brothers Frank Wilkerson and Robert Wilkerson; sisters, Carolyn Ballard, Linda Coppock, Debbie Bartholemew, and Pat Jones; son, Christopher Brane; daughter, Kimberly Brown; step-sons, Brent Lee, Rodney Lee, and Robert Lee; step-daughter, Sheila Spence; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Ruby Wilkerson; sisters, Earlene Brown and Brenda Shutters; son, Michael Brane; daughter, Diane Moon; granddaughter, Kristen Brown; son-in-law Bobby Brown.

The family would like to thank Twin City Healthcare and the Hospice Group for the loving care they gave Sherly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 23, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana.
