Sharon "Elaine" Draper

Sharon "Elaine" Draper, 73, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Elaine was born in Upland, Indiana, on August 5, 1949, to the late Robert "Bob" and Wilda "Woodie" Cunningham. She grew up in Upland and graduated from Eastbrook High School in 1967. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts including crocheting, and embroidery, and she loved to tend a garden. An avid reader, she spent many hours at the Upland Public Library. While she may have been a feisty lady, she was also a giver and wouldn't hesitate to help someone in need. Her children and grandchildren were her life, and she will be sadly missed by all of them.

Elaine is survived by her son, Robert (Andrea) Draper, Upland; grandchildren, Blakeleigh, Blissfulle, Dan E. (Alexis), III, Alivia, and Raiden Draper; great-grandson, Rylan Draper; brother, Randy (Michelle) Cunningham, Upland; nephew, Derek (Lella) Cunningham, Anderson; great-nephews, Jaxson Cunningham and Rodney Roche; special friend, Doug Lane; and lifelong friend, Kay Duncan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Woodie, and her son, Dannie Draper, Jr.

Arrangements for Elaine have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, where a time of visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Upland Public Library, 29 West Washington Street, Upland, Indiana 46989, or to Helping Hand, 64 Railroad Street, Upland, Indiana 46989, which are organizations of which Elaine was very fond.
