Scotty M. Shannon

Scotty M. Shannon, 75, of Marion, died peacefully Saturday, April 27, 2019, at his home. He was born March 3,1944, atMaysville, Kentucky to the late Alexander andEarsie(Kinder) Shannon. On June 19, 1965, Scotty married the love of his life Donna L. Wright in Marion, Indiana they spend 54 years together. Scotty retired in 2000 from GenCorp after 42 years of service. He was a member ofSunnycrestBaptist Church, Marion, Indiana, he sang in the church choir. He loved baseball and loved to watch his children and grandchildren play ball, he used to coach little league. He enjoyed going to car races with his son Scotty and WWE wrestling with his son Brian. He was a patriotic man. He is survived by his wife, and sons; Scotty Wayne (Wendy) Shannon, Marion and Brian Shannon of Greenwood, IN brother; Mike Shannon, Marion, andsister-in-laws; Liz Wright, Marion and Diana (Robert) Bennett. Grandchildren; Ashley (Nelson) Woods, Marion,Anessa(Cortney) Hammond, Marion, DevonSheward, Marion. Great-Grandchildren; Trenton,Brayton, Jackson, Maverick, andKourtney. He was preceded in death by his parents, father and mother-in-law; Fred and Nettie Wright,brothers-in-laws, Frank and John Wright. Funeral services for Scotty will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at 2:00 PM atSunnycrestBaptist Church 2172 W Chapel Pike, Marion, IN with JeffTimmonsofficiating. Friends may call at the church from 12:002:00 PM prior to the service. Interment will be in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Marion, Indiana.
