Scott A Roll

Scott A. Roll, born on January 29, 1958, in Marion, Indiana, to Jess Willard Roll, Jr. and Marilyn Sue (Bye) Roll passed away peacefully at Wesleyan Health and Rehab on August 7, 2024. Scott graduated from Jay County High School in 1976 and soon after, proudly served our country in the US Marines.

Scott had developed a relationship with Pastor Gary Bingham from Hillside Wesleyan Church and his faith played a central role in his life. Scott had many hobbies over the years, including farm toys, gas engines, guns, and motorcycles. His love for his country extended beyond his military service, as he was an active member of the Indiana Patriot Guard, honoring and supporting fellow veterans.

Scott was a proud marine, but an even prouder papaw. He cherished every moment spent with his two beloved grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His legacy of love, service, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn (Bye) Cummings; daughter, Karalynn (William) Brown of Marion, Indiana; grandchildren, Jackson Brown and Connor Brown of Marion, Indiana; brothers, Randall (Ramona Chapman) Roll of Portland, Indiana, and Todd Roll of Ellettsville, Indiana; niece, Brook (Eric Neal) Christian of Marion, Indiana.

He is preceded in his passing by his father, Jess Willard Roll, Jr.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 from 11-1p.m. A service will follow at 1p.m. with Pastor Gary Bingham officiating. Immediately following the service there will be an inurnment at Marion National Cemetery.
