Sandra 'Kay' Poling

Sandra Kay Poling, 63, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at her residence October 5, 2017. Kay was born April 7, 1954, to her parents George Harris and Mary Dicks. Kay married the love of her life, Jerry, on March 3, 1973. Kay was a graduate of Marion High School in 1972. She worked at Richards Restaurant for many years. When Kay was not at work she would love to read and play computer games. She also enjoyed dancing to 50s and 60s music. Fishing was another hobby that Kay enjoyed doing with her time. She also loved going to the James Dean festival in Fairmount every September. She was able to enjoy it one last time this year. Kay is survived her husband, Jerry Poling, Marion; Son, Christopher (Sandra) Poling, Marion; Sister, Kathy (Darrell) Smith, Marion; Father, Wayne Dicks, Marion; Granddaughters, Krystal Poling,Kingsman, IN, Vanessa Pena, Marion, and Adriana Pena, Anderson; Grandson,DelvonMartin, Marion; and 3 Great-grandchildren,TreyvonCook, Jr.,Cataleyaand Cleon Lester, all of Anderson. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Harris, and sister DebraCasewell. Arrangements for Kay have been entrusted toArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services College Park Chapel, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Kays life will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor RobertBogueofficiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Muncie. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Cancer Services of Grant County.
