Russell Dwight Carter

December 8, 1950 — June 6, 2019

Russell Dwight Carter, 68, passed away at home on Thursday, June 6, 2019. He was born in Fairmount on December 8, 1950, to the late Luther Benjamin and Lillie Mae Jane Carter. Russell worked as a journeyman, millwright, and repairman for St. Gobain, retiring after 35 years. A hardworking man, he was always busy building cabinets, magazine racks, and cradles for his granddaughters, or remodeling his home. He enjoyed working on cars and was a great mechanic.
