Rosalie B. Mckinney

Rosalie B. McKinney, 93, of Marion, passed away at 7:45 A.M. on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at Aperion Care of Marion. She was born on October 25, 1928, in Pittsburg, Kansas, to the late Charles and Gladys (Clemens) Benn. She was married to the late Charles C. McKinney. Rosalie worked for many years at the St. Regis Paper Company before retiring as a shipping clerk. She was a member of Christland United Methodist Church in Marion, Christmas City Square Dance Club, and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Mississinewa Chapter #94. Rosalie was a very accomplished seamstress, quilter, and maker of wood fiber flower arrangements. Rosalie is survived by her four children, Wayne (Rebecca) McKinney and Linda (David) Ditsler, both of Marion, Roy (Suzanne) McKinney and Gordon (Christine) McKinney, both of Nashville, Indiana; a sister, Norma Jean Wilson, of Denver, Colorado; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Colleen McKinney; two brothers, Edward J. Benn and William Benn; and a sister, Louise Dickshot. A funeral service to celebrate Rosalie's life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 North Main Street, Upland, Indiana. Pastor Tom Mansbarger will officiate the service. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Knox Chapel Cemetery, Fairmount.
