Robert R. Mccarrel

Robert R. McCarrel, 78, died, Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at his Gas City residence.

Robert was born in Sault St. Marie, Ontario, Canada on April 23, 1944, sone of the late Raymond and Bessie (Dukes) McCarrel. Robert was an Army Veteran of Vietnam where he was a door gunner and a Chinook Helicopter mechanic. He did body work for Hawkins Ford and and welding for Green Line and Anaconda. Robert was a self taught "jack-of-all-trades". He enjoyed attending auctions and repair rust relicts of the past. He was a sea plane pilot, enjoyed his 1969 Mach 1 Mustang, and enjoyed a good cup of coffee.

Robert is survived by his wife Debra (Liston) and Son James "Jim" McCarrel, both of Gas City; two grandchildren, Monica and Zion;  several nieces and nephews, and several life long friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. There will be no services.
