Robert Bennett

Robert J. Bennett Jr., age 74, of Marion, Indiana, passed away on February 2, 2025. Born on August 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Robert Bennett Sr. and Ada (Shipley) Bennett. Robert dedicated several years of his life to working as a truck driver, a profession that he took great pride in.

Throughout his life, Robert enjoyed many cherished moments with his sister, Frances Amaro. He was known for his love of riding motorcycles and word searches, which brought him much joy and fulfillment. Robert was a devoted member of Born Church, where he found community and friendship.

He is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Shelly; his brother, Terry Bennett; and his nephew, Jose Amaro Jr.

He is survived by his sisters, Frances Amaro, Stacy and Bonnie Bennett, Francisco Amaro and Son Joe Shephard, who will always remember their treasured times together.

A visitation will be held on February 7, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by a service beginning at 11:00 AM at Armes Hunt Funeral Home, located at 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953.

Arrangements for Robert have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Robert to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home to help the family defray funeral expenses.
