Richard W Kay

Richard Walter Kay, (Dick) of Marion, was taken to be with his Lord on June 28, 2023. Born on June 24, 1937, in Rochester, NY, the youngest of three children. He married Betty (Reece) Kay on June 30, 1963, and she survives. He graduated from Hilton High School in Hilton, NY in 1955. He continued his

education at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL, and Fuller Theological Seminary School of Mission and Church Planting in Pasadena, CA.

He served as a missionary with IMS International for 54 years in the Bahamas and Jamaica working in the ghettos with the drug addicts and the poor. He attended Center Chapel of Marion. Dick had a passionate heart for ministry with men and desired that they might know God in a personal way. In addition to his wife, Betty, Dick is survived by his daughter, Lori (Rick) Lampen, Marion, IN; son Bud (Lynda) Kay, Marion, IN; Sister Helene (Dave) Meyer, Alpena, MI; and brother David (Carolyn) Kay of Lakeland, FL; sisters-in-law Joan Reece, Marion, IN; and Mineva Floyd, Marion, IN. Grandchildren Kaylynn (Brad) Anderson of Warsaw, IN; JD Kay of Colorado Springs, CO; and Dana Kay of Pierceton, IN, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Ave of Marion. Visitation will be at Center Chapel Church 8733 East 200 South Marion, Indiana 46953 at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, followed by a celebration of life at 11 A.M. with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. The burial will be at the Atkinson Cemetery without graveside services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to World Gospel Mission, P. O.
