Richard Dick Lee Fox, 78, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 atBrookdaleof Carmel, Carmel, IN after an Eighteen year battle with Parkinsons Disease. During his years with Parkinsons his personality continued to show through, as a kind, gentle man, appreciative for life. He was born on July 31, 1939, in Marion, Indiana, to the late Howard and the late Ellen (McDowell) Fox. He graduated from Marion High School, Class of 1957. He also graduated from William Penn College inOskaloosa, Iowa in 1962. He was a teacher at Marion High School and atSwayzeeHigh School for a short time before he became co-owner of Graham Ford in Converse, Indiana for 38 years. He married his lovely wife Beverly J Fox (Farr) at theSwayzeeMethodist Church on March 25, 1962. He and Beverly were former members ofSwayzeeUnited Methodist and then later became members of Mt. Olive United Methodist Church, Marion, IN He was a member of the National Street Rod Association. He enjoyed basketball, he was once an assistant coach for the boys basketball team atSwayzeeHigh School and he also played basketball while in college. He was a fun, enjoyable person to be around and he never knew a stranger. He collected antique, classic and street rod cars. He loved golfing with his golf pals at Arbor Trace Golf Course, Marion, IN, and they referred to themselves as the Old Farts Club. Richard is survived by his wife, Beverly Fox, Marion; daughters Amy (David) Higgins, Winona Lake, Cindy (Jay) Price, Carmel, and; son, Bart (Jennifer) Fox, Converse; sister, Nila (William) Schilling, Lafayette; 5 grandchildren, Benjamin Higgins, Rebecca Price, Charles Price, Olivia J. Fox and Blake Richard Fox. Arrangements for Richard have been entrusted to Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services College Park Chapel, 4601 S. Western Ave. Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2018, from 5:00-7:00 P.M., with a service beginning at 7:00 P.M., with Pastor Robert Carpenter.
