Rebecca J. "Becky" Hodge

April 12, 1931 — November 11, 2023

Rebecca J. "Becky" Hodge, died November 11, 2023 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of 92.


She was born to Lauren and Hazel Rose in Marion, Indiana on April 12, 1931. She graduated from Marion High School in 1949. Becky worked at various companies throughout her career including Indiana Gas, Indiana Bell, Cablec, and Wabash Valley Rehab. She attended IUPUI where she earned her real-estate license. At one time she held three jobs to keep her family together and fed. She loved her family and there wasn't anything she would not do for them.


She enjoyed working and being with the youth. She was a mentor at the local Elementary schools and Kids Hope.


Becky accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a lifetime member of First Friends Church in Marion where she attended Golden Band Sunday School class.


She loved to play golf. Later in life, she enjoyed watching golf on TV along with many other sports. She was an IU Basketball and Indianapolis Colts fan. She had a host of friends that she enjoyed going out with once a month for lunches.


Becky was predeceased by her parents; Sisters Linda (Jack) Cline and Rita (Paul) Frank; first born son, Randy Hodge; and the father of her children, Charlie Hodge. She is survived by her son, Brian (Barb) Hodge; daughter, Sue (John) Small; granddaughter, Ashley Motia (Dave Sanders); grandsons, Adam (Gladys) Hodge; Stuart (Jenn) Hodge; Lance Hodge; Michael (Jodie) Small; great-granddaughter, Sophia Small along with nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, and many friends.


There will be no public viewing or visitation. Becky's ashes will be interred at Estates of Serenity in Marion, along with those of her beloved son, Randy. The family will hold a private grave-side service at a later date. Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fairmount has been entrusted to care for Becky's final needs.
