Upland: Rebecca A. (Mullen) Loftis, 80, passed away early Thursday morning, January 5, 2017, in her residence, with family by her side. She was born in Gas City, the daughter of the late Robert W. and Edith M. (Ludlow) Mullen. Since 1945, she has lived in Upland and was a 1955 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. She was a member of Upland United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, bird watching, crocheting, stained glass, and baking. She was employed with Glass Container, doing glass production for 17 years, before retiring in 1987. Survivors include a son, Terry (Sandy) Loftis, Kansas City, Kansas; three daughters, Debra (Antoine) Young, Indianapolis, Patricia (Fianc: Charles Fleece) Harley, North Salem, and Angela Lacy, Anderson; seven grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and her former husband, August Loftis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Mullen; and three sisters, Carolyn West, Marilyn Garrison, and Bonnie Nestleroad.Visitation:2-6 pm, Sunday, January 8, 2017, Jones-Smith Funeral Home, 259 N.
