Phyllis J. Gephart

Phyllis J. (Winslow) Gephart, 79, of Fairmount, died suddenly, Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Phyllis was born on February 11, 1944, daughter of the late Harry W. and Elizabeth J. (Farmer) Winslow. She graduated from Fairmount High School in 1962, and then worked as an administrative assistant at United Technologies from 1980 until her retirement in 2008. She was a former member of Fairmount Friends Church. Phyllis enjoyed watching the Colts and Notre Dame, but her absolute favorite team was IU. She enjoyed her random trips to the casino with her sister. She also was an avid bridge player and met up with her girls regularly for their weekly games. While she enjoyed these activities, nothing could compare to how much she enjoyed being with her great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life, and she will be greatly missed by all of them.

Phyllis is survived by her children, Kent Hayes and Amy Hayes, both of Fairmount; grandchildren, Haley Hayes, Colton Hayes, and Bryce Hayes; great-grandchildren, Kamille Eck, and Keegan and Kendal Hayes; sister, Vickie (Dave) Little, Summitville; and nephews, Mark and Scott (Missy) Little.

Arrangements for Phyllis have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
