Phyllis J. Anderson

Phyllis J. (Schoolman) Anderson, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. She was born on September 22, 1932, in Marion, Indiana to the late William Dearl Schoolman and Isabelle E. Dennis. She graduated from Marion High School and worked in the office at Foster Forbes for 32 years. She married the late G.B. Andy Anderson on December 18, 1969. Phyllis was a member of Sunnycrest Baptist Church for 50 years. Phylliss love for Sunnycrest Baptist church and her church family was amazing. They were a huge and important part of her life. She played the organ and piano there, she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She always had the best spirit, no matter what was going on around her. She never had anything bad to say about anyone, she would always find the positive in them. Phyllis was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Phyllis is survived by her children, Dennis (Terry) Case, IA, Mark (Grace) Case, Mesquite, NV, Melodie L. (Mike) Baisden, Marion; her brother, Richard (Dixie) Schoolman, TN; her grandchildren, Jessica Baisden and her Fiance Braxton Fultz, Tammi (Joe) Donnelle Case VanHoosier, and Kevin (Melissa); her great-grandchildren, Mila, Trenton, Autumn, Ivory, Eric, Lilly, and Tia;and her step great-grandson, Malik. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Dearl Schoolman and Isabelle E. Dennis and her husband, G.B. Andy Anderson. Arrangements for Phyllis have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. All services for Phyllis will be held at Sunnycrest Baptist Church, 2172 W. Chapel Pike, Marion, Indiana 46952. On Friday, August 2, 2019, there will be a visitation from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M, the funeral will begin at 12:00 P.M. with Pastor Troy Bishop officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana. Memorial contributions in honor of Phyllis may be made to Sunnycrest Baptist.
