Phyllis A. Miller passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at the age of 80 years old. She was born on September 7, 1943 to the late Don and Lucille (Cole) Marshall. Phyllis graduated from Marion High School in 1961. A couple years later, Phyllis married the love of her life James ‘Jim’ A. Miller II on November 23, 1963. Together they built a family with four children.
Phyllis was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her family. In her spare time she worked her business called Touch of Elegance. Later on she published two books, Winters of Life and a book on sewing. Phyllis was very crafty, she enjoyed spending her time sewing, making clothing, knitting and crocheting blankets for all her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Phyllis loved to be creative and innovative and was a very determined woman.
Phyllis will be greatly missed by her four children, Lori (Jim) Goff of Converse, Jeff (Linsey) Miller of Converse, Debbi (Eric) Anderson of Frisco, Colorado, and Shari (Jason) Smith of La Fontaine; grandchildren, James Goff, Becca (Logan) Pritchett, Maggie (Chase) Johnson, Kailyn (BJ) White, Kynlee Miller, Clayton Kelley, Meredith Anderson, Paige Anderson, Joshua Smith, Jared Smith, and Sarah Smith; great grandchildren, Isaiah Goff, Olivia Pritchett, Tate Pritchett, Emmett Johnson, Lakely White, Nora Jo White, and Christian White; brother, Donald ‘Dick’ Marshall.
She is preceded in her passing by her husband James ‘Jim’ A. Miller II; parents, Don and Lucille (Cole) Marshall; sister, Beverly Colley; grandson, Seth Goff.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953. A visitation will be held at the College Park Chapel on Monday, January 8, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00P.M.. Immediately following the visitation a service will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Ron Meyer officiating. A burial will be held after the service at Thrailkill Cemetery in Swayzee, Indiana.
