Phillip R. O'Daire

Phillip Ray O'Daire, 75, a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on Monday, November 1, 2021. He entered this world on July 24, 1946, in Maysville, KY, born to James and Hazel O'Daire. He worked at Foster Forbes for twenty-two years until they closed, and then worked for JB Hunt Trucking for twenty-eight years. He was always doing acts of kindness for others. He loved country music, singing karaoke with his family, and attending family get-togethers. Phillip loved his family and had the most giving spirit, and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his soulmate of twenty-two years, Debra O'Daire; son's, Jerry and Terry; daughter, Leslie; son Jimmy (Catherine) Purvis; brothers, Alan (Jeannie) O'Daire, and Charley (PeeWee) Detro; grandchild, Christopher (Brittany) Purvis; grandchild, Cassidy Purvis; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to give special thanks for the wonderful care given to him at the Fresenius Kidney Care Grant County, as well as, the Lutheran Hospital staff that cared for him. Arrangements for Phillip have been entrusted to the College-Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953. There will be a Graveside service will be held Friday, November 5, 2021, at 2:30 PM, at Grant Memorial Park Cemetery, 1606 West 26th Street, Marion, Indiana 46953.
