Phillip L. Bays Sr

Phillip L. Bays Sr. passed away Friday April 28, 2023 at home with his son. Phillip was born July 29, 1938 to Morris and Tisha (Bowling) Bays in Olive Hill, Kentucky. After high school he served in the Navy. He married Thelma Brown in June of 1963 who preceded him in death.

Phillip retired from Dana Corporation as a machinist after thirty years. He was a very active person who loved fishing and was a talented gardener who could grow the best tomatoes. He loved all animals especially squirrels and his dog Benji.

Phillip is survived by his son Phillip Jr.; daughter Donna Bays, brothers Woody and Ernie Bays; granddaughter Missi; fiance Mary Harkins and dog Benji.

Arrangements for Phillip have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services. There will be no services.
