Patricia KathrynOttingerWilson (82) left this earthly realm on Sunday May 6, 2018 after a brief decline in her health, to join her husband The Rev. Dale Wilson in heaven. She is survived by her daughter Kathryn Conley, granddaughters Kat Marine and Samantha Conley, her sister Donna Kay Bauer, niece Kelly BakerKlopp(Marty), nephews Brad Baker and Jami Baker (Denise), son Nathan Wilson, and multiple extended family members in Indiana. Pat was a former nursing instructor at St. Elizabeths Hospital in Lafayette, IN and Johnston Willis Hospital in Richmond, VA. Her nursing career spanned nearly 40 years. She initially desired to serve as a missionary nurse to Africa and consistently studied and used her medical knowledge to educate and assist others. Her fondness for sewing and crafts occupied her time and allowed her to share her gifts with so many others in her life. She loved to see her family and friends spread cheer and fellowship of the Bavarian customs of folk dancing , frequently assisting in the making of traditional dirndls for friends and family. Her faith was her crowning glory and her quiet study and prayer life was a model for many others as she served as a pastors wife and faithful church member in numerous congregations where her husband Dale Wilson was assigned. Her ultimate wish was for her family and loved ones to become believers in Jesus Christ and be prepared for His Kingdom. May she dwell in the house of the Lord forever. She was born May 19, 1935 near Gaston, Indiana in Delaware County to the late Keith Pete and Evelyn (Troutt)Ottinger. She graduated from Jefferson Township High School Class of 1953, Taylor University 1959, Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, Indianapolis 1959. She received her Masters of Education from the Commonwealth University in 1979. A memorial service to celebrate Pats life will be at 11:00 AM Friday May 25, 2018 at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Jones-Smith Chapel, 259 N. Main St. Upland, Indiana 46989 with Rev. Ginny Soultz officiating. A time of gathering will be from 10:00 AM until service time Friday May 25, 2018 at the funeral home.
