Norma Jean Fields

Norma Jean Fields, 94, of Upland, Indiana, died at 8:02 AM, on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at University Nursing Center in Upland. She entered this world on June 26, 1928, in Upland, born to John and Mary (Blackburn) Burns. Jean married Jack E. Fields on August 28, 1954, he died November 1, 2015.


She was a very devoted Christian, faithfully attending church and reading her Bible. Jean worked for RCA, Gayle's Studio, and most recently at the First Baptist Church. She most recently attended Lighthouse Assembly of God. Jean was a kind, soft spoken, nurturing mother and grandmother. She loved her family, and they were most important to her.


Jean is survived by her daughter, Susan (David) Rose, of Noblesvlle, Indiana; four grandchildren, Stephanie Auler, of Marion, Indiana, Stacie (Nick) Vetor, of Noblesville, Indiana, Samantha (Zach) Callahan, of Anderson, Indiana, and Shelbie (Jeremy) Tarter, of Fishers, Indiana; 10 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Taylor, Becca, Allie, Norah, Olivia, Tinley, Bodie, and Dalton.


She was preceded in death by her parents; three siblings, Glen (Bob) Eversole, Bonnie (Roy) Anderson, and Annie Burns; and a grandson-in-law, Christopher Auler.


Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953, where a private service for family will be held and burial to follow in Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
