Norma J Smith

Norma J. Smith, 88, passed away on May 20, 2024 at Marion Health. She was born on February 5, 1936 in North Vernon, Indiana. Norma was a graduate of Marion High School. She retired from Foster Forbes in Marion, where she held the job of an inspector. Norma married Jack C. Smith and he precedes her in passing.

In Norma's free time she loved to spend time with her family. She was always so happy when her family was together. Norma also had a love for baking, she made the best pies. She was a collector of elephants as well as an avid Indiana Pacer fan.

Norma is survived by her two children, Ronald Smith of Marion, Indiana and Jackie (Gary) Reed of Marion, Indiana; grandchildren, Kristy Reason, Amanda (William) Kroft, Jackie Kroft, Allen (Audra) Reed, Amy Morris; 12 great and great-great grandchildren.

Norma is preceded in her passing by her parents, Vestel and Florence (Gerth) Rush; husband, Jack Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and John Kroft.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park location of Armes Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave. Marion, IN 46953. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 11-1pm and a service will immediately follow with Pastor Matthew Trexler officiating. A burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
