Nissha A. McCormick, 56, of Summitville, died Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Community Hospital of Anderson after a brief illness.

Nissha was a graduate of Mississinewa High School class of 1987, and was a Financial Deputy for the Grant County Auditor. She loved to play with her grandchildren, riding the motorcycle with her husband, and traveling to visit family.

She was born September 24, 1968 at Marion, IN to the Max Ellison and Mary Bankson Lashure. She married Michael McCormick September 3, 2016, and he survives.

Nissha is survived by her mother, Mary Bankson Lashure, children; Mathew Huston, Gas City, Tyler (Shannon) Huston, Gas City, Courtney Huston, Marion, Charles C.J. Huston, Jr. Matthews, Andrew (Melissa) McCormick, NE Joshua McCormick, FL. James (Leah) McCormick, FL. Aaron McCormick, NE. Siblings; Chastity Lashure, Ulonda (Will) Davis, Starr Brown, Delores (Pat) Kinch, and Rebecca Simmons. 15 Grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her father, Max Ellison, and her son, Brandon Huston.

Arrangements for Nissha were entrusted to the Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN 46928.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am-1:00 pm Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the funeral home followed by a Life Celebration Service with Pastor Denton Howard officiating.
