Nancy Sue Rogers

Nancy Sue Rogers, 78, of Upland, Indiana, died at 7:38 AM, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Upland home. She was born on September 10, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Earl and Fayma (Meeks) Williams. Nancy married Jack Rogers on November 23, 1961, in Upland, he preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School class of 1962. Nancy worked for the Pierce Governor Company. She enjoyed being a mechanic and was proud to be able to take an engine apart and put it back together. Nancy enjoyed doing puzzles, playing dominos with her family, reading romance novels, rummaging, and spending time with her great-grandchildren. She also loved dressing up for Halloween with her sisters. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Tyra (Greg) Cox, of Upland; two grandchildren, Evan (Desheya Swaby) Cox, of Upland, and Tana (Trent'n Bailey) Cox, of Fairmount; three great-grandchildren, Ellen Cox, Theo Bailey, and Thatcher Bailey; three siblings, Beverly Picco, David (Ethel) Williams, and Janice Hughes, all of Upland; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Fosnough and Mary Walz; and three brothers, Jimmy Williams, Jackie Williams, and Paul Williams. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN 46989, with Pastor Curt Blasiman officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Jefferson Cemetery, Upland, Indiana.
