Mimi Marie Bennett

May 15, 2004 — July 27, 2021

May 15, 2004 - July 27, 2021 Mimi Marie Bennett crossed the Rainbow Bridge at 10:40am in the arms of her loving Sissy, after a brief struggle with a collapsed trachea at the age of 17. Mimi came to her family at 7 weeks old and recently celebrated her 17th anniversary being with her family on July 4th. Mimi brought so much joy, love, and laughter to anyone who knew her. From the moment she joined her family, Mimi expected everything to revolve around her and she usually ended up getting her way. Mimi loved to be with her humans, no matter what they were doing. She loved to do certain things with each of them. With her Daddy, Mimi loved to sit outside lying on his lap watching for anything that happened to move, sitting in the swing in the backyard, and snuggling up watching tv. With her Mommy, Mimi loved to boss and watch her cook just hoping she'd share, and come up behind her sticking her with the tip of her tongue on the back of the leg. With her Sissy, Mimi loved to play with her toys, snuggle, and give kisses. Mimi's favorite toys were stuffed hedgehogs and a special stuffed pig that was given to her when she was 6 months old. Mimi loved making her Mommy announce she's packing her toy before being chased around the house by her Sissy or Daddy and then finally would put her toy in a special place, not to be touched. Mimi loved her special treats of steak, chicken, hamburger, fish, Cheerios, Frosted Shredded Wheat, crackers, vegetables and fruits. Along with the occasional vanilla ice cream. Mimi Marie, my sweet little angel...We were so blessed to have you for 17 years. You were so full of sass, attitude and spunk. You're taking with you a part of each of our hearts that can't ever be replaced. You've been the best little companion. You were such a little fighter these last few months but it's time now for you to get your angel wings as you cross the Rainbow Bridge. We'll never stop loving, thinking of, and missing you. Mimi is survived by her Daddy Lee, Mommy Dianne, and Sissy Misty. Mimi was preceded in death by her Sissy Melissa, who she now will be joining in Heaven as they both wait patiently for the rest of their family to join them.
