Michael "Mike" J Sabanski

Matthews: Michael J. "Mike" Sabanksi, 77, died Friday morning, February 10, 2017, in his home, surrounded by family. He was born in Jonesboro, the son of the late Theodore and Rose (Gazinski) Sabanski. He was a 1959 graduate of Mississinewa High School, Gas City. Mike married Donna Kern on September 11, 1966. Mr. Sabanski served in the United States Navy. He later retired from Eastbrook Community Schools Corporation in 2004 after more than 20 years of service. He was a member of the First Community Church, Matthews, Matthews Lions Club, Cumberland Covered Bridge Society, Matthews and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Donna, Matthews; two sons, Gregory (Nancy) Sabanski, Rochester, Michigan, and Michael (Teri) Sabanski, Argos; and three granddaughters, Sydney, Megan, and Kara. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, John Sabanski, Sam Sabanski, Vonda Wallace, and an infant brother.
