Michael Gene Miller

Michael "Mike" Gene Miller, 68, passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Envive Healthcare of Hartford City. Mike was born on May 4, 1955, to the late Conrad Miller and Marie Miller, who survives. He married Diana DeShong on August 16, 2002, and she survives. Mike attended Mississinewa High School, then went on to work for Thompson Consumer Electronics and American Woodmark. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Jonesboro Fire Department for 9 years. He was a member of Center Chapel Church for over 20 years. He was also a member of Grant ARC amateur radio. Mike loved riding motorcycles, especially his Harley, and was a member of ABATE for over 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and researching his genealogy. Mike knew no stranger - even if he didn't know someone, he would carry on a full-length conversation until they were no longer a stranger - just like his dad.

Mike is survived by his mother, Marie; wife, Diana, Marion; son, Michael (Sherri) Miller, Jonesboro; daughter, Charlotte (Mike) Findley, Gas City; grandchildren, Darren, Sy, and Adrianna Fridley; brother, Mitchell (Diane) Miller, Marion; and step-sons, Adam and Andrew DeShong.

He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad, and sister, Teresa Miller.

Arrangements for Mike have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral and Cremation Services. A visitation will be held at Center Chapel Church, 8733 East 200 South, Marion, Indiana 46953, on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
