Michael Dewayne Goble

Michael Dewayne Goble, 54, passed away at his residence in Upland, Indiana on September 22, 2023. He was born on April 24, 1969 to Jerry D Goble. and Anna Mae (Koontz) Lidy. He was a graduate from Eastbrook class of 1987. Michael served in the United States Air Force from 1988 to 1994.Michael was supervisor and lineman at Indiana Michigan Power for over 21 years.

Michael enjoyed many things in his life. He loved to go hunting, work on the farm, and woodworking. His favorite thing to do was hanging out with his grandchildren. He was always known by his family and friends as the life of the party.

Michael is survived by his wife, Samantha Goble of Gas City; daughter Ali (Joseph) Alexander of Florida; grandchildren, Kaydenn Goble and Bow Alexander; father, Jerry (Sharon) Goble of Marion; step-father, Don Lidy of Marion; sister, Shawntae Goble Wine of Alexandria; step-brothers, Donnie (Michelle) Lidy of Indianapolis, Bryan Thurman of New Haven, Bradly Thurman of Beech Grove, and Brent (Ali) Thurman of Roanoke; half-sister, Pamela Peterson of Texas; nephews, Kyle (Kasey) Wine of Cicero, and Matthew (Brooke) Wine of Fishers; great-nieces Bentley Wine and Addison Wine; special friends, Liel (Kim) Lawvere of Matthews, Phil Clevenger of Matthews, and Doug Bennett of Matthews.

Micheal is preceded in his passing by his mother, Anna Mae Lidy (Koontz); son, Jerry “JD” Goble; step-brother, Tim Lidy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A visitation will be held at 4601 S. Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953 on Friday, September 29, 2023 from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00P.M.. A service will immediately follow the visitation with Pastor Terry Bishir officiating. A burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery Upland, IN after the service.
