Michael Davis Lindsey, 73, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Marion General Hospital. Michael was born on December 28, 1947, in Port Saint Joe, Florida, to the late James and Avis (Suber) Lindsey. He attended Escambia High School, in Pensacola, Florida. Michael also attended Pensacola College as well as the University of New Mexico, where he obtained his Civil Engineering degree. He was in the Air Force and was an engineer at the Marion VA Medical Center before retiring in 1999. Michael married the love of his life, Constance "Connie" (Vetter) Lindsey, on July 6, 1974, in Louisville, KY. They spent 47 years together. Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing games and cards, and watching TV. He and Connie enjoyed traveling all over the United States on the motorcycle, they even pulled a camper with the motorcycle. Due to not being able to get away, Michael, Connie and their daughter, Michele just recently had a " family camping trip" with the camper in their own backyard. Survivors include his wife, Connie Lindsey, Marion; their daughter, Michele Lindsey, Marion; two brothers, James E. Lindsey Jr, Crossville, TN; and John F. Lindsey, Sharpsburg, GA; nieces, Connie Hinch, and Sheila Lindsey; great-nieces, Mattie Hinch, and Chelsie (Lester) Cole; great-great-niece, Rula Cole; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Vetter; brothers-in-law; Louis (Patty) Vetter, Mike (Pat) Vetter; sister-in-law, Katie Vetter, several nephews and nieces, his best buddy, Arnie (Peggy) Rigney; and his best fur friend, Khloe. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Avis Lindsey; and his grandparents, John and Beatrice Lindsey. Arrangements for Michael have been entrusted to College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where on Sunday, August 22, 2021, there will be a visitation held from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M., then a memorial service honoring Michael's life beginning at 1:00 P.M. with Father Ted Rothrock officiating. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Michael to help Veterans in need.
