Michael Alan Mcwhirt

Michael Alan McWhirt 68 of Gas City died February 13, 2019 at his residence. Born in Marion, Indiana to the late Garold and Wilma (Fogleson) McWhirt. Mike was a graduate of Mississinewa High School class of 1968 where he ran cross country and held many records for many years for his athletic ability to run. He was a self-employed contractor, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, bowling and playing guitar. Mike is survived by his children, Mason, of Phoenix, AZ Michael G (Destiny) United States Air Force, Marissa McWhirt, Van Buren, Trista Ferguson, Marion. Siblings Charles (Blanche), Marion, Paul (Vinnie), Gas City, and Charlotte (Larry) McWhirt, Gas City. His ex-wife Rita Duncan, Sweetser. 9 Grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Garold McWhirt, Jr. At Mikes request he was cremated and there are not services planned at this time.
