Michael A. Worrick

Michael A. Worrick, 70, of Fairmount, Indiana, died at 12:00 AM, on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He entered this world on April 18, 1952, in Grant County, Indiana, born to Frank and Opal (Mittank) Worrick. Michael married Brenda Moorman on May 27, 1972, in Epworth United Methodist Church, Matthews, Indiana, she survives. He was a graduate of Eastbrook High School with the class of 1971. Michael was a truck driver for around thirty years. He was a dedicated member of Epworth United Methodist Church. Michael enjoyed boating, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his dogs. He was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Indianapolis Colts, and enjoyed watching any sporting events that his grandchildren participated in. Michael is survived by his two children, Stacey (Kyle) Bricker, of Fishers, Indiana, Joey (Amanda) Worrick, of Marion, Indiana; four grandchildren, Zachary Bricker and Tori Bricker, both of Fishers, and Gracie Worrick and Sophia Worrick, both of Marion; a brother, Phillip (Pat) Worrick, of Marion; two sisters, Frances "Chic" Johnson, of Hartford City, Indiana, and Doris (Charles) Fortner, of Mount Vernon, Indiana; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Worrick, of Grove City, Ohio; best friend, Michael (Theresa) Russell, of Upland, Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Worrick, Bill (Wanda) Worrick, Tom (Judy) Worrick; and a sister, Betty (Bob) Van Gordan. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN 46989, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Epworth United Methodist Church, 105 W. 8th Street, Matthews, Indiana, with Pastor Brian Cooper officiating. Burial will follow in Matthews Cemetery, Matthews. Memorial contributions may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church or the American Parkinson Disease Association.
