Max Dean Hurt

Max Dean Hurt, 53, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at his Fairmount, Indiana residence. Max was born on August 3, 1964 in Marion, Indiana, son ofL.D.Hurt and BettieG. (Harvey) Hurt. Max graduated from Madison-Grant High School in 1983. In spite of his disability, Max was the boss. He did more in his 53 years than most do in a lifetime. Maxwas proud of being one of the oldest living kidneytransplantrecipients inIndiana. He received his kidney transplant in 1985, knee replacement in 1995, andacorneatransplantin 2002 A beloved andenthusiastic Madison-GrantArgyllfan, Maxannounced high school and little leaguebaseball and football games for20 years, and was known onWBATRadio as Mr. Argyll, often giving high lights of the nights basketball game. Maxalso loved Indiana University Basketball, Indiana Pacers,Nascarracing, playing shuffleboard,and the Chicago Cubs. He wasable to see this Cubs win thethird game of the World Series. Max was a Son of the American Legion, Fairmount Post 313. Max is survived by this parents, L.D. and BettieHurt, Fairmount;brothers, Mark (Nancy) Hurt,Kokomo, IN and Matthew (Joleen) Hurt, Spring Arbor, MI;nephews, Daniel andCaleb;nieces, Ana,Makayla, and Chelsea, along withnumerouscousins and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel ofArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana. Visitation for Max will be held at Madison-Grant High School Auditorium, 11700 S. E00W,(State Rd 9)Fairmount, Indiana on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Please enter through door # 7. There will be an American Legion Service at6PM.Funeral Service is Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 2 PM in the Madison-GrantHigh School Gymnasiumwith Pastor Brock Meyer officiating. Please enter through door # 2. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana.
