MARY E.WALZ, 84 of Upland died peacefully Friday July 14, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born June 3, 1933 in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Earl E. andFaymaM. (Meeks) Williams. Mary married Donald K.WalzJune 16, 1952 and hesurvives in Upland. Mary is survived by 3 children; Virginia Ginny Rice, ConnieDoublinboth of Upland, and Michael (Kathy) Walz, BuenaVista, Colorado. Also surviving are sisters; AliceFosnough, Nancy Rogers, BeverlyPicco, and Janice (Michael)Hughesall of Upland. Brother; Paul (Dixie) Williams, Marion, IN David (Ethel) Williams of Upland. 4 grandchildren; Katrina (Johnny) Weaver,Kregg(Jennifer)McGriffboth of Upland. Kristi (Scott)Waschitz, Webster, New York. 6 great-grandchildren: Brittany Drake, Rachelle Smith, Michael Smith,KamronMcGriff, TimothyWaschitz, andKarleeMcGriff. She is preceded in death by daughter; Teresa TerriWalz, Grandson; James JimmyDoublin, Brothers;LeRoyJimmie Williams and Jackie Williams, Son-in-law; Timothy Rice. Marywas a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Gas City, Indiana, she enjoyed working crossword puzzles, crocheting, sewing, square dancing, clogging, playing cards and solitaire on the computer. She also enjoyed traveling, walking and riding bicycles. A funeral mass for Mary will be Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Gas City, Indiana with Father David Newton officiating. Interment will be in Jefferson Cemetery, Upland, Indiana. The family will receive friends Tuesday July 18, 2017 from 3-7 PM atArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, Jones-Smith Chapel 259 N. Main St., Upland, IN a wake service will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday. Memorial Contributions are to the Alzheimers Association in care of the funeral home.
