Margo Elaine Davis

Margo Elaine Davis passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at the age of 69. She was born on July 17, 1954 in Marion, Indiana to the late Claude A. Jr. and Betty J. (Gotto) Starkey. Margo attended Madison Grant High School and was the graduating class of 1972. Margo retired from General Motors in 2006, after 30 years, she was a part of the production area.

Margo enjoyed her life. She had a pink thumb on one hand and a green one on the other. Margo loved little ones and sowed love into the lives of countless babies. She was a caretaker, always willing to help someone in pain, being fully acquainted with pain herself. She was a walking natural pharmacist, quick to hit you with an oil for that back pain. She was always opening her home and heart to a single mother and child in need. She was gifted to help things grow, be them babies or bushes. She lived in her yard, making it beautiful. Margo was a water baby, give her a sunny day and a body of water and she was at peace. Honest to a fault, never one to cheat someone, paid her bills early, and her level of generosity was startling. She was ornery, one never had to guess what she was thinking, yet she loved people hard. Above all she loved the Lord with her whole heart, taught her boys to do the same and would boldly share her love for Jesus with whomever needed to hear it. She will be dearly missed!

Margo is survived by her children,Clay (Kimm) Davis of Marion, IN, Courtney Bowlds of Fort Wayne;sister Shirley (Ron) Simpson of Marion, Indiana; grandchildren, Destinee (Drew) Smith, Kobe Davis, Gabrielle Davis, Taylor Stahlman; great grandchildren, Ryker Smith and Krue Davis; many nieces and nephews

She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude A. Jr. and Betty J. (Gotto) Starkey; sister, Pamela R. Loftis; brother, Claude A. "Sonny" Starkey.

Arrangements for Margo have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 11:00am - 1:00pm at the Fairmount Chapel, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, IN 46928. A service will follow the visitation with Pastor Clay Davis and Courtney Bowlds officiating. A burial will immediately follow at Park Cemetery in Fairmount, Indiana.
