Margaret "Rose" Johnson

Margaret "Rose" Johnson, 75, of Marion, Indiana, died at 6:04 AM, on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family. She entered this world on September 26, 1947, in Marion, born to Edward H. and Hilda Suzanna (Ledergerber) Munday. Rose married Ronald L. Johnson on June 10, 1967, he preceded her in death on October 17, 1998.

She was a graduate of Bennett High School class of 1965. Rose was a homemaker for a large portion of her life and also operated Munday's Green House after taking over ownership from her family in 1983 until her retirement in 2010. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Gas City, Indiana. She had a real passion for gardening.

Rose is survived by her two children, Bret (Kelly) Johnson, of Marion, and Bart (Donna) Johnson, of North Manchester, Indiana; five sisters, Mary (Howard) Goins, of Marion, Martha Purdom, of Sweetser, Patty Munday, of Gas City, Carol Keefer, of Sevierville, Tennessee, and Eileen Romero, of Selma, California; granddaughter, Kristin Johnson; three great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, JoAnn Munday, of West Lafayette, Indiana. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas Munday, John Munday, William Munday, and Donald Munday; and a sister, Bety Vian.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Friday, April 21, 2023, at the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, IN 46953, with Father Kevin Hurley officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Indiana.
