Lucinda June Caudill, 72, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 21, 2023, at Marion Health hospital in Marion, Indiana. Lucinda was born on July 25, 1950, to the late Murrell and June Caudill. She graduated from Marion High School in 1968 and then worked for RCA for 33 years and served as a Union Steward. She attended Northeast Church of God from eight years old until they closed in 2019, and then began attending the First Church of God. She was a member of the Women of the Church of God, she taught Sunday School, and was also a pivotal part of Vacation Bible School. She was a great Prayer Warrior and her Church family was very dear to her. She had the biggest heart for kids and helped with the Kids Alive program at Allen Elementary School. She also volunteered her time giving back to the community in other ways; she was a member of the IEBU - 100, the NAACP, and was the party chair for the local Democratic Party. Throughout her life she put her whole heart into what she believed in.
Lucinda loved books and was an avid reader; she loved reading her Bible, and having quiet time with the Lord. She loved her extended family and was always looking forward to the next family gathering or reunion to catch up with everyone. She also loved music; some of her favorites were the old hymns, Elvis, and of course, the Beatles, which she had the exciting opportunity to see in 1964 at the Indianapolis State Fair. She was always ready to watch a classic movie and reminisce about the days of old. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews; she was "Aunt Cindy" to many, and she definitely earned that title with the enormous love that she showered on her "little Chickadees". She loved to share her great love of life with them by taking them to the movies, going to Jimmy's for fine cuisine, and reading to them; she was very animated when reading and made the stories come to life. Game nights, picnics in the park, and singing were also on her favorites list.
Lucinda is survived by her siblings, Bevlyn (John) Brown, North Webster, Pamela (Mike) Harris, Murrell Lynn (Gary) Miller, and Kirt Jesse (MaryAnne) Caudill, all of Marion; nieces and nephews, John Henry, Russell (Silvia), Logan (Chelsie), Sirrah (Evan), Hallie, Parker (Jessi), Mallory (Ben), Natalie (Brian), and Sadi (Zack); and great-nieces and nephews, Remi, Blaise, Elijah, Gabriel, Emily, Simone, Miriam, Wayne, June, Maison, Jed, Lyla, Gunner, Paisley, and James, and also, her Very Special Friend/Cousin/Fourth Sister, Jacque Detamore.
Lucinda will be remembered most of all for her great laugh, big heart, and joyful spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Murrell and June, and nephew, Myles Miller.
Arrangements for Lucinda have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services. There will be a private service at a later date.
