Lucas Garner Brown, 26, died, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at his Fairmount residence.
Lucas is the son of Michael and Karen (Garner) Brown, born on March 17, 1997 in Anderson, Indiana. He graduated from Madison Grant High School in 2015. During his time there he was a three sport athlete in tennis, bowling, and baseball. Lucas was a two time regional qualifier in bowling as well as All County, All Conference and academic All State in baseball.
Lucas enjoyed many things in life. His love for sports continued into college, where he played a year of baseball at Indiana Wesleyan University and then transferred to play a year of bowling at Huntington University. After college Lucas joined the Indianapolis Monarch's Baseball League, along with playing slow-pitch softball in Anderson. He also joined a Tuesday night Bowling League in Alexandria with his dad and grandfather on a team together. His passion for the game of baseball never dwindled, he was an assistant coach for Eastbrook High School's Baseball team as well. In Lucas's free time he could be found cheering on his teams, The Arizona Diamondback's Baseball team and the Vegas Golden Knight's Hockey Team. Lucas will forever be known as a jokester with a quirky personality.
Lucas is survived by his parents, Michael and Karen Brown, Fairmount; siblings, Ryne (Lacey) Brown, Greentown and Kristen (Matt) Melendez, Michigan City; grandparents, Don and Janet Garner, Marion and Milo Brown, Fairmount; nieces and nephews, Lucy Brown, Rose Brown, Madison Logan, and Parker Logan.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Brown
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 415 South Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where a visitation will be on Sunday, July 16, 2023 from 2-6pm at the Fairmount Chapel. A service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2023 at 11am with a burial to follow at Park Cemetery.
