Lovell "Jane" "Bow" Lainhart

Lovell Jane "Bow" Lainhart, 90, a long-time resident of University Health Care in Upland, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. Jane was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 23, 1930, daughter of the late Milburn Taylor and Rosa Josephine (Skaggs) Stillwell. She attended a one room school house in Kentucky. She later moved to Alexandria and had been a resident of Fairmount since 1967. She married George Wiley Lainhart on April 15, 1946. Although they were divorced they remained friends until his death. Jane had worked at Delta Electronics and later worked in housekeeping at Marion General Hospital for 15 years. She had also worked at the Fairmount Laundromat. She was a member of the Fairmount Baptist Church where she was active with the Variety Club. Jane loved her family and babysitting her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed going fishing. She is survived by 6 children, Cara (David) Roby, Elwood, Debra Carter, Fairmount, Mary (Doug) Harrold, Fairmount, Cynthia Mills, Fairmount, Julie McCoy, Peru, and Bryan (Lora) Lainhart, Gas City;daughter-in-law, Kim Lainhart; 16 grandchildren, Scott and Mia Roby, Jesse, and Krista Webb, Sarah Engle, Jennifer Carter, Audra (Chris) Bunch, and Elizabeth Carter, Doug (Holly) Harrold, Zachary (Annette, Harrold, Sean (Tammy) Gross, Terry and Thomas Fetz, Kya McCoy, Ryan (Amber) Lainhart, and Kole, (Molly) Wright, 27 great-grandchildren, siblings, Juanita (Tom) Rogers, FL, and Larry (Vicki) Stillwell, OK. She was preceded in death by two sons; George Wiley Lainhart Jr. and Thomas Lainhart, along with sisters Lucy and Mary, and Edna Mae, sons-in-law, Dwight Carter and Dan McCoy; grandson, Matthew Lainhart great-grandchildren, Samuel and Connor Harrold. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral home and Cremation Services, 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, Indiana where visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2020 from 2-6 PM and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Funeral Service is Saturday, December 5, 2020 at 11 AM with Dr. Jerry DeHart officiating. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Alexandria, Indiana.
