Lisa M. Stevens

Lisa M. Stevens-Poling, 64, passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023. She was born in Marion, Indiana on May 7, 1959 to the late Johnny and Dorothy (Nelson) Poling. Lisa was a graduate of Madison Grant High School in 1978. Lisa dedicated her life to people with disabilities, she enjoyed her time serving every person she came in contact with and touched the lives of many. Everyone she came into contact with, she made them feel special.

Lisa enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to go camping and being outside. She brought her whole family together, she always loved to have them altogether. She has always been a lifelong resident of Fairmount, IN. Lisa always supported the community and others around her.

Lisa is survived by her children, Tiska (Amber) Stevens of Marion, IN, Michael (Samantha) Stevens of Fairmount, IN, and Melissa (Danny) Saylors of Fairmount, IN; siblings, JoAnn (Pat) McGinnis of Florida, Tammy Jasek of Florida, and John (Connie) Poling of Fairmount, IN; grandchildren, Levi, T.J., Micah, Drew, Oliver, Malachi, Zoey, Isbella, Callie, and Willie; Godchildren, Heather and Tyler; special friend Marilyn Sue Roberts and many others; Dog, Butters; along with many nieces and nephews.

Lisa is preceded in her passing by her parents, Johnny and Dorothy (Nelson) Poling; sister, Tracy Goodpaster; best friend, Mary Richards.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fairmount Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home & Cremation Services 415 S. Main Street, Fairmount, IN 46928. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at noon at the Fairmount Lions Club,  at 10180 South 100 East, Fairmount, Indiana 46928.

As Lisa’s final wish, memorial contributions in remembrance of Lisa can be made out to the family in care of the funeral home for her annual Christmas party.
