Leroy F. Scott

Leroy (Roy) F. Scott passed peacefully on Thursday, October 4, 2018, at the Marion V.A. Leroy was a Grant County resident all of his 86 years. He retired from American National Can (Foster Forbes) after 40 years, in 1992. Leroy was a Jack of all trades and had many second jobs during his life. Leroy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed listening to the older country music, watching musicals of yesteryear, working puzzles, tinkering in his shop, anything Audrey Hepburn, pineapple upside down cake, and pecan pie. Leroy leaves to miss him: Daughter Lynn (James) Hunt, grandsons Joel and BrockEhmer, great grandchildren Austin,KayLynne, andBreannaEhmer; son Larry (Lea) Scott, granddaughterJessi; daughter Laura Berry, granddaughter Michelle Harris, great grandchildren Michael Berry andDannyelleVanderpool; and son Donald Scott. Also surviving are a brother, Marvin (Rebecca) Berry, sisters-in-law Evelyn Scott, Beverly Scott, and Katherine Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Berry, sister and brother-in-law Virginia (James) OBrien, brothers Charles, Ralph, and James Scott, sister and brother-in-lawFredas(Dario) Salazar, and sister-in-law JennieKimmell. His trusted companion, Teddy, recently passed. Leroys wishes were for no funeral service. Leroy will be cremated and placed at Marion National Cemetery. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel ofArmes-HuntFuneral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S.
