Leewood Mabry

Leewood Mabry, 78, passed away at home on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, with his family by his side. Leewood was born on September 28, 1941, to the late Atlee and Irene Mabry, in Elliott County, Kentucky. He married Carolyn Sue (Douglas) in Jonesboro on December 31, 1968, and she survives in Marion. Leewood retired from GenCorp as a forklift driver in 2001, after 33 years of employment. Leewood is survived by his wife, Carolyn, Marion; two sons, Jeffery (Nicole Scott) Caudill, Marion, and Shannon Lee (Jennifer) Mabry, Kokomo; seven grandchildren, Caleb Lee Mabry, Bryson Alan Mabry, Tommy Lunsford, Chelsea Lunsford, Zachary Defabritis, Traci Scott, and Erika Sherrell; three great-grandchildren, Riley, Zoey, and Korben; and his brother, Tim Mabry, Grayson, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Atlee and Irene, and his brother, Billy Ray Mabry. Arrangements for Leewood have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, Indiana 46953, where a visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Bill Bowling officiating. There will also be a visitation on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 US-60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164, with a funeral service at 4:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Porter Cemetery in Olive Hill.
