Larry Layman passed away Tuesday June 27, 2023 at Marion Health. He was born December 25, 1956 to Jim and Lola (Profit) Layman) in Indianapolis, Indiana. He married Patricia Looney on July 24, 1998 and she survives.
Larry was a bricklayer by trade and worked as a general contractor for Jim Daniel. He also started a prison ministry with John Sullivan and had most recently worked for Hubler Chevrolet in Marion. He attended Lighthouse Assembly of God. He loved his dogs Belle, Spot and Roudy.
Larry is survived by his wife, children Larissa Buck, April Layman, Billy (Jett) Briggs; brother Tim Layman; father-in-law Harold (Marlene) Looney; grandchildren Chloe Buck, Gracie Buck, Layton Nolder, Ella Cowgill, Cristian Pavey, Gracelynn Sullivan, Karrynn Sullivan, Dez'Monae McCreary, Dezmond McCreary, Dez'Malik McCreary, and Kenya Smith' great grandchildren Prynceton Smith, Ezekial McCreary, Ezra McCreary, Enzo McCreary, Kensli McCreary, Kamari Martin, Azaryia Wise; sister-in-law Nita Eccles and Special Friend Phil Harrell. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother James.
Arrangements for Larry have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home 4601 South Western Avenue Marion, Indiana 46953. Visitation will be Monday July 3, 2023 at the Funeral Home from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. A funeral will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Jerry Gallaway officiating; burial will follow at Grant Memorial Park.
