Larry D. Miller, Sr.

Larry D. Miller, Sr., 71, died early Saturday morning, September 28, 2019, in his residence. He was born on July 19, 1948, the son of the late Harvey and Thelma (Haynes) Miller. He graduated from Huntington North High School in 1966 and later earned a Bachelors Degree in Business from Wayland Baptist University. He served in the United States Army for 21 years and was a Nursing Assistant at the VA Hospital for 10 years. Larry married Judith Fosnough on November 22, 1969. Mr. Miller enjoyed attending auctions and rummage sales and had a booth at Jakes Antiques, Marion. He was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Judith Miller, Upland; a son: Larry D. Miller, Jr., Upland; two daughters: Angela (Daniel) Green, Wasilla, Alaska; and Michelle (Steve) Arnold, Van Buren; four grandchildren: Joshua Green, Sarah Arnold, Benjamin Arnold, and Addison Arnold; four brothers: Bill (Claudia) Miller, Tennessee; Darrell (Dorthy) Miller, Arkansas; Eddie Miller, Marion; and Bob (Cheryl) Miller, Texas; one sister: Becky Miller, Arkansas; and one sister-in-law: Zedra Miller, Louisiana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joanie Miller and a brother, Dennis Miller. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home Cremation Services, 259 N. Main St., Upland, Indiana, where a visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at 9:00 am, Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Marion National Cemetery.
